Forklift Operative – Events & Broadcast Logistics

About the role

This position is based in Woking and supports a specialist events and broadcast freight forwarder. You will operate both counter‑balance and reach trucks in a fast‑paced warehouse handling high‑value equipment for live events, television and entertainment shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate counter‑balance and reach forklifts to load, unload and move freight safely.
• Receive inbound deliveries, verify documentation and report any discrepancies.
• Pick, pack and prepare high‑value event and broadcast equipment for dispatch.
• Secure loads in vehicles and ensure careful handling to avoid damage.
• Label, scan and store items using the warehouse management system.
• Conduct regular stock checks and support inventory control.
• Collaborate with the operations team to meet tight shipment deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment in line with health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Valid Reach Truck Licence.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, freight forwarding or logistics environment.
• Experience handling high‑value, fragile or time‑critical freight is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Salary up to £32,000 per year, dependent on experience.
