Forklift Operative – Warehouse Operator

About the role

We are recruiting Forklift Operatives to support the supply chain for Siemens Mobility's new London underground fleet. The role is based at the state‑of‑the‑art Siemens facility in Goole and involves handling materials throughout the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Receive goods, off‑load material and store correctly using manual handling techniques.
• Check quality and quantity of deliveries against documentation.
• Complete and file delivery paperwork.
• Pick, pack and issue material kits to production on site.
• Top up line‑side material locations.
• Conduct planned and ad‑hoc audits.
• Transact material between storage locations and sites within management systems.
• Perform safety audits of racking, shelving and equipment, identifying issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to pass a drugs and alcohol test (standard for rail depots).
• Willingness to work Monday‑Friday shifts.

Required skills

• Counterbalance forklift operation.
• Pivot steer forklift operation (advantageous).
• Microsoft Word.
• Microsoft Excel.
• SAP (advantageous).
• Maximo (advantageous).

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £15.17‑£20.39.
• 40‑hour week with Monday‑Friday shifts (06:00‑14:30 or 14:30‑22:30).
• On‑going contract employment.
