Forklift Truck Driver – 24‑Month Fixed‑Term Role

About the role

We are seeking a safety‑first Forklift Operator to join our team at the North West Industrial Estate in Peterlee. This is a 24‑month fixed‑term position working 36.5 hours per week on‑site, with a variety of shift patterns and competitive pay rates.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a counter‑balance forklift safely and efficiently in tight warehouse aisles.
• Meet daily handling targets while maintaining accuracy and speed.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report any faults.
• Follow all health, safety and site‑specific procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of forklift truck (FLT) operating experience.
• Valid or out‑of‑date counter‑balance licence.
• Accredited certification such as RTITB or ITSAAR (in‑house certificates are not accepted).
