Forward Deployed Engineer – Infrastructure Specialist (UK Public Sector)

About the role

Cohere is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the deployment of its North AI platform for UK public‑sector clients. You will work closely with enterprise IT teams to securely integrate AI solutions into private‑cloud or on‑premises environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end deployment of North in private cloud and on‑premises settings, handling planning, configuration, testing and rollout.
• Partner with client IT teams to assess infrastructure, security and data‑management requirements.
• Design and implement deployment strategies that meet data‑privacy and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime.
• Travel up to 20‑40% to work on‑site with customers and partners.

Required profile

• Experience working directly with customers and deploying enterprise software in private/hybrid cloud environments.
• Proven ability to administer large‑scale production Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking and virtualization.
• Comfortable in fast‑paced environments where priorities shift quickly.
