Foundation Learning Lecturer

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Foundation Learning Lecturer to join our client’s team on a part‑time, permanent basis. You will work within the Early Learning Development (ELD) section, delivering high‑quality support to learners with a range of special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a coherent curriculum for PMLD students.
• Lead teaching and learning activities within the ELD section.
• Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants across all teaching environments.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments and set targets to maximise student success.
• Develop departmental strategies for learners with complex SEN, including autism spectrum conditions and total communication needs.

Required profile

• Level 5 teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching ELD/LLD/PMLD learners across foundation programmes.
• Minimum Level 3 in a relevant subject (degree desirable).
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and familiarity with the SEND Code of Practice.
