Founding Engineer – Early Careers

About the role

Join Tracebit’s fast‑growing security startup as a Founding Engineer focused on early‑career talent. You’ll work side‑by‑side with the founders and engineering lead to build a cloud‑native intrusion‑detection platform that uses decoy canaries to trap attackers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship features across the full stack, primarily using C# on .NET Core 10.
• Write infrastructure‑as‑code with Terraform and contribute to the HTMX‑based frontend.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, maintain simple yet scalable architecture, and ensure daily releases for demanding customers.
• Collaborate directly with the CTO, Co‑Founder, customers, and prospects to refine product requirements.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude and Codex to accelerate coding.

Required profile

• Strong interest in technology and cybersecurity, eager to build a career in the field.
• Academic excellence in a STEM discipline (undergraduate or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, maths, physics, etc.).
• Proven ability to write clean, correct code and a curiosity about low‑level system behavior.
• Experience building personal projects, contributing to open source, or participating in hackathons.
• Comfort with the rapid pace and ambiguity of an early‑stage startup.
