Founding Pre‑Preparatory Teachers (3‑7) – QTS Required

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with an exciting new independent pre‑preparatory school opening in Buckhurst Hill in September 2026. The school is built on a child‑centred philosophy and seeks passionate educators to join its founding team and help shape a nurturing, ambitious learning environment for children aged 3‑7.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons that inspire and engage young learners across a range of subjects.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports academic, social and emotional development.
• Contribute to curriculum design, enrichment activities and extra‑curricular events.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Play an active role in establishing the culture and values of the new school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Relevant experience teaching in early years or primary settings.
• Demonstrated passion for delivering outstanding educational experiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and fellow staff.

Required skills

• Subject knowledge in the assigned teaching area (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Drama, Music, PE, etc.).
• Strong classroom management and lesson‑planning abilities.
• Commitment to fostering curiosity, creativity and lifelong learning.
