Founding Software Engineer – React Native (Future Head of Engineering/CTO)

About the role

We are seeking a founding software engineer to lead the development of our flagship mobile product. This senior React Native role offers a direct partnership with the founders and a clear path to Head of Engineering or CTO as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build a high‑quality mobile application using React Native.
• Make core architectural and technology decisions from day one.
• Develop and maintain supporting backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with founders, product teams and stakeholders to shape the product roadmap.
• Establish engineering best practices, processes and a strong technical culture.
• Recruit, mentor and grow an engineering team as the business expands.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience delivering React Native applications.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern mobile development practices.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced startup environments.
• Product‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
