FP&A Analyst

About the role

The client is a market‑leading business operating across the North of England and Scotland, now entering a period of rapid growth and strategic development. This newly created FP&A Analyst position reports directly to the Finance Director and will act as a key business partner, providing high‑quality financial analysis, planning and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and medium‑term planning processes.
• Produce and analyse regular financial and operational reporting for both local leadership and group reporting requirements.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs to the Group within strict deadlines.
• Prepare financial analysis, commentary and presentations for senior leadership and board meetings.
• Support investment appraisal activities, including business case preparation.
• Monitor and report key financial and operational KPIs across the business.
• Reconcile and analyse commercial income streams to ensure targets are achieved.
• Assist with internal controls, governance and compliance activities.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or finalist) with relevant experience.
• Previous experience in FP&A, commercial finance, finance business partnering or management accounting.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capabilities.
• Proactive, commercially minded and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
