FP&A Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead to join a purpose‑driven international organisation based in London. This six‑month fixed‑term position will oversee global financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting, supporting senior leaders to maximise impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global planning, budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple countries.
• Produce monthly business performance reports and insightful analysis for senior leadership.
• Develop robust financial models for strategic planning, investment decisions and scenario analysis.
• Partner with finance, fundraising, people and operational teams to provide commercial financial advice.
• Manage, coach and develop a high‑performing FP&A team.
• Collaborate with international finance colleagues to strengthen multi‑entity planning.
• Support year‑end planning and work with Financial Control on reporting.
• Oversee global payroll governance ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities to shape organisational strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting and systems.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading financial planning, budgeting and forecasting in a complex, multi‑entity environment.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Proven ability to partner with senior leadership and influence strategic decisions.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
• Excellent communication skills for both finance and non‑finance audiences.
• Knowledge of payroll governance and financial compliance.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) – preferred.
• Experience in the charity, NGO or grant‑funded sector – preferred.
