FPGA Developer for Low‑Latency Trading Systems

About the role

We are seeking a full‑stack FPGA developer to join a leading global quantitative trading and investment firm. You will work on ultra‑low latency hardware platforms that power our trading strategies across multiple asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, integrate and deliver low‑latency trading systems.
• Develop high‑performance RTL in Verilog/SystemVerilog for large Altera and Xilinx FPGAs.
• Create self‑checking test benches, bus functional models (BFMs) and other verification harnesses.
• Integrate firmware with system components and software, and manage releases.
• Participate in peer design reviews and capture requirements.
• Operate in a fast‑moving, short‑feedback development environment while adhering to company values and policies.

Required profile

• Degree in electronics/engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 3 years of professional hardware development experience.
• Strong digital design, FPGA architecture, and debugging skills.
• Ability to work across hardware, software and networking disciplines.

• Altera and Xilinx FPGA families
• Vivado and Questasim tools
• Linux development environment
• TCL/TK and Python scripting
• Digital communications protocols and networking knowledge
• Self‑checking testbench and BFM development
