FPGA Engineer – High‑Frequency Trading

About the role

Join a world‑leading high‑frequency prop‑trading firm as an FPGA Engineer. You will design, develop, test and deploy ultra‑low‑latency trading systems that power the firm’s global market access. The role offers a fast‑paced environment with the potential to evolve into a team‑lead position.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement FPGA‑based trading algorithms and infrastructure.
• Develop, simulate, and verify RTL code to meet stringent performance targets.
• Integrate FPGA designs into the broader software stack and ensure seamless operation with existing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues in real time.
• Collaborate with software engineers, traders and network specialists to optimise end‑to‑end latency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a start‑up or fast‑moving technology environment.
• Strong mix of traditional RTL design and software development expertise.
• Hands‑on experience with C++ or Java development.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Good knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP and Ethernet.
• Not a recent graduate; seasoned professional preferred.
