About the role
We are seeking an FPGA Engineer to join a world‑leading proprietary trading fund. The role focuses on designing and implementing FPGA‑based applications and improving the internal high‑level synthesis and testing tools.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement new FPGA applications from the ground up.
- Extend and refine high‑level synthesis and testing tools used internally.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to integrate FPGA solutions into the firm’s trading infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain RTL designs using OCaml, Hardcaml, Verilog, and C.
- Participate in testing, validation, and performance optimisation of FPGA designs.
Required profile
- Strong background in hardware design with a software engineering mindset.
- Experience with typed functional languages or willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with FPGA development in the context of Ethernet networking is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.
