Fraud Risk Director – London

About the role

As a Fraud Risk Director for JPMorgan Chase in London, you will lead the end‑to‑end fraud detection and risk management programme for Chase UK card and payment products. You will protect the bank and its customers from fraudulent activity, shaping strategy and delivering rapid, data‑driven responses to emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the fraud strategy across the full lifecycle – prevention, detection, investigation and recovery.
• Collaborate with product, fraud operations, technology and other business units to align fraud initiatives with commercial objectives.
• Analyse payment‑type trends, develop analytical models and provide real‑time recommendations to senior executives.
• Design, test and implement rule criteria in fraud detection systems while balancing client experience.
• Monitor loss data, identify patterns of fraudulent transactions and recommend loss‑prevention measures.
• Produce executive‑level performance metrics, reports and dashboards for enterprise risk management.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in fraud risk, payments or related risk‑management functions.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior stakeholders across the organisation.
• Track record of delivering measurable results in a complex, fast‑moving financial environment.

Required skills

• Experience building and validating analytical models for fraud detection.
• Knowledge of fraud detection systems, rule‑engine design and payment‑channel risk.
