Freelance Digital Project Manager – Corporate Communications

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Digital Project Manager to lead the delivery of website builds, content updates, SEO and digital communications for our Stakeholder Engagement business. You will work closely with design, development and account teams to define solutions, manage budgets and ensure projects are delivered on time and to client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of projects, create schedules, and ensure internal and external deadlines are met.
• Lead discovery and definition phases, translating client briefs into scope, budget and timeline.
• Produce and maintain project documentation such as briefs, schedules, requirements, status reports and wireframes.
• Oversee design and content revisions, coordinate suppliers and ensure quality standards.
• Handle client requests for support, maintenance and general queries, and manage project budgets and purchase orders.
• Contribute research on client industries and digital communications trends to support thought leadership.

Required profile

• 3+ years agency experience in digital marketing and communications, delivering website projects for corporate or B2B clients.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and communicate effectively with clients at all levels.
• Strong understanding of website best practices, accessibility, usability and design.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and ownership mindset.

Required skills

• Microsoft Project or equivalent project‑tracking software.
• Content Management System (CMS) usage.
• Ticketing tools such as JIRA for issue tracking.
• Quality Assurance (QA) techniques and processes.
• Knowledge of W3C WCAG accessibility standards.
