Freelance MRICS Building Surveyor – Remote

About the role

This is a remote, freelance position for a chartered MRICS or FRICS Building Surveyor. You will work independently, using a proprietary iOS‑based inspection app, to assess residential properties, produce repair specifications and support expert‑witness work.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect houses and apartments, identify defects and assess repair needs.
• Produce detailed reports and repair specifications using the client’s iOS software.
• Apply knowledge of HHSRS and the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985 to evaluate compliance.
• Submit reports promptly for fast payment processing.

Required profile

• Hold an MRICS or FRICS professional designation.
• Extensive experience in building surveying, preferably with housing disrepair and loss surveying.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem‑solving ability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable using Apple iOS devices and related remote‑work technology.
