Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a busy programme of infrastructure and utilities works. You will manage project costs, budgets and commercial reporting while administering NEC contracts throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project costs, budgets, forecasting and subcontractor accounts.
• Produce commercial reports and ensure projects remain financially controlled.
• Administer NEC contracts from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with operational teams to maintain commercial compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.
• Strong NEC contract experience.
• Experience with cost estimation, budgeting and commercial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous utilities sector experience is advantageous; M&E commercial experience is beneficial.
