Freight Forwarder – European Imports & Exports

About the role

Our client, a specialist freight solutions provider for European markets, is looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder to manage both import and export operations. You will work within a small, dynamic team to ensure smooth door‑to‑door transportation across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the transportation of goods across European routes.
• Handle both European imports and exports, organising full loads, part loads and groupage shipments.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and shippers.
• Track shipments, communicate updates and delays to customers.
• Respond to customer queries and maintain clear communication with carriers and hauliers.
• Prepare and manage all paperwork to meet compliance and customs regulations.
• Liaise with HMRC and ensure adherence to European customs procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in European road freight operations, ideally covering both imports and exports.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Good commercial awareness and familiarity with European customs procedures.

• Salary up to £38,000 per year, dependent on experience.
