French Fire Detection & Information Controller

About the role

This position is for a French‑speaking Fire Detection & Information Controller working within a Railway Control Centre. You will join a skilled, supportive team to monitor fire detection systems, coordinate emergency and maintenance responses, and manage real‑time operational information across the UK and France.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret fire detection alarms in the railway network.
• Coordinate emergency and maintenance actions with internal teams and external partners.
• Maintain accurate operational records and follow established safety procedures.
• Communicate clearly in both French and English with UK and French stakeholders.
• Work a 24‑hour, 7‑day shift roster covering early, late and night shifts.

Required profile

• Proficiency in French (B2 level or higher) and English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a safety‑critical environment.
• Calm under pressure and capable of handling shift work.
• Valid driving licence for commuting between the UK and France.
• Previous experience in a railway or control‑centre environment is advantageous.
