French Teacher for Early Years Nursery (Paddington, London)

About the role

We are looking for a native‑French speaker who is passionate about introducing French to young children. The position is based in our Paddington nursery and is a permanent, full‑time role (38 hours per week, Monday‑Friday). You will work in a bilingual Montessori environment, using play‑based activities to develop children’s language skills.

Key responsibilities

• Teach French through games, songs, and age‑appropriate activities.
• Assist with daily routines, supervise children, and help organise learning materials.
• Support children’s personal care and hygiene needs.
• Collaborate with the Key Person to ensure a smooth day for each child.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the bilingual curriculum.

Required profile

• Native French speaker with professional spoken and written English.
• At least one year of experience in childcare, preferably in a nursery setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with parents.
• Resilient, caring, and open to constructive feedback.
