Fresh Manager – Retail Store

About the role

As a Fresh Manager you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the Fresh department in an Asda superstore. You will ensure high product availability, maintain shop‑floor standards and guarantee compliance with waste and date‑code regulations while providing a safe environment for customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute trading activity on the shop floor to meet availability and KPI targets.
• Lead the Fresh team in delivering excellent customer service and driving sales.
• Monitor waste, shrink and date‑code compliance, taking corrective action as needed.
• Manage promotional and modular activities to support the store’s selling agenda.
• Develop and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge of food or non‑food departments.
• Proven ability to improve availability, reduce waste and manage shrink.
• Strong organisational skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
