Front Line Systems Niche Administrator – Record Management

About the role

The Front Line Systems Niche Administrator will be responsible for the administration and support of the City of London Police's Niche Record Management System (RMS). This critical system underpins investigation, crime management, property handling and case preparation for over a thousand officers and staff. The role is fixed‑term for one year with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and configure the Niche RMS to ensure availability, performance and security.
• Provide first‑line technical support to users, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls in line with security policies.
• Produce regular system health reports and assist with audits.
• Collaborate with the Information Management Security team on system enhancements and integrations.

Required profile

• Security vetting at MV/SC level (or ability to obtain).
• Experience working in a public sector or policing environment is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commitment to hybrid working with at least 60% office attendance.

Required skills

• Administration of the Niche Record Management System (RMS) or similar record‑keeping platforms.
