Front of House Team Member

About the role

We are looking for a Front of House Team Member to join our award‑winning Wateredge Inn in Ambleside. As the first smile guests see, you will create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and ensure every visit is memorable.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with a friendly attitude.
• Take food and drink orders, recommend menu items and drinks.
• Serve dishes and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Handle payments and operate the till or POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and service stations.
• Respond to guest enquiries and resolve any issues quickly.

• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
