About the role
As the Night Receptionist at Ibis Edinburgh Centre South Bridge, you will be the welcoming face of the hotel during overnight hours, ensuring guests feel safe, comfortable, and valued. You will support the smooth operation of the property and collaborate with other departments to prepare for the next day.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and check‑in guests during the night shift, providing a warm and professional welcome.
- Assist with the general running of the hotel, supporting housekeeping and other departments as needed.
- Conduct night audits and safety checks to guarantee guest and property security.
- Ensure all guest charges are accurate and posted promptly.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and document internal and guest messages accurately.
- Promote hotel facilities and upsell services using product knowledge.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management or supervisors.
Required profile
- Previous experience using OPERA Cloud.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Strong customer‑service orientation.
- Self‑motivated, autonomous and passionate about hospitality.
