Frontend Developer – FinTech (React, TypeScript)

About the role

Our client, a leading FinTech firm, is looking for a Front End Developer to join their Newcastle office. You will design and build intuitive, high‑performance user interfaces for trading and analytics platforms used by global financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable, responsive UI components using modern front‑end technologies.
• Collaborate with back‑end engineers, product owners and end‑users to translate requirements into polished digital experiences.
• Implement real‑time features using WebSockets or SignalR.
• Maintain code quality, performance and usability standards.

Required profile

• 2:1 (or higher) degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong recent experience with React and TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with real‑time communication tools such as WebSockets or SignalR.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration platforms.
• Enthusiasm for clean, usable interfaces and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
