Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join Connells Group’s Group Technology team in Milton Keynes. You will work on developing, supporting and enhancing business systems built on .NET and SQL Server, while collaborating in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Stay up‑to‑date with software development best practices and implement coding standards.
• Use operational data to improve application stability and performance.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity.
• Maintain documentation, release notes and ensure application security.
• Identify cross‑team dependencies and implement preventative measures.
• Handle risk, change and uncertainty across projects.
• Design and build secure, high‑performing n‑tier applications using SQL Server.
• Contribute to process and methodology improvements for the wider team.
• Develop commercial/enterprise web applications and ensure performance, quality and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with all teams to recommend solutions that meet testing frameworks.

Required profile

• Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC and modern web frameworks such as React JS.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure and AI integration in software projects.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and object‑oriented design.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including TDD.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when required.

What we offer

• Hybrid working model (1‑2 days per week in the Milton Keynes office).
