Full Stack Software Engineer – London or Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our London‑based team (with occasional work in Birmingham) to deliver a modern data‑automation portal for enterprise clients. The role involves designing and building a web application that streamlines complex business workflows, automates data processing, and provides users with full visibility of request status.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance a full‑stack web application using contemporary front‑end and back‑end technologies.
• Create intuitive user interfaces for submitting, tracking and managing automated data‑processing requests.
• Build scalable back‑end services, REST APIs and relational database components that power the platform.
• Integrate the application with automation platforms and other backend services to enable end‑to‑end workflow automation.
• Implement approval workflows, status tracking, reporting dashboards and audit capabilities.
• Support the full software lifecycle – development, testing, deployment and production releases.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in full‑stack software development.
• Strong experience with a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
• Commercial back‑end development experience using Python, Node.js or similar technologies.
• Proven ability to design and develop RESTful APIs.
• Solid SQL and relational database expertise.
• Experience building secure, scalable web applications with authentication and authorisation.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment and using Bash.
