About the role
Reed Education is partnering with a Good‑rated secondary school in Cambridgeshire to recruit a passionate English Teacher. The role starts in September 2026 and is a full‑time, long‑term position focused on delivering high‑quality English lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing timely feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold behaviour expectations.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Required skills
- Curriculum planning for English at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Student assessment and progress tracking.
- Behaviour management strategies.
