About the role
We are looking for a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Royton, Oldham. This full‑time position involves working closely with the class teacher to enhance the learning experience of Key Stage 2 pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the KS2 teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils as needed.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with staff to monitor and promote pupils’ academic and personal development.
- Support classroom management and organisational tasks.
Required profile
- Minimum Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Previous experience in a primary school setting, preferably within KS2.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Proactive, adaptable and compassionate approach to supporting children’s learning and well‑being.
