Full-Time Primary Teaching Assistant – Ideal for Graduates

About the role
Reed Education is looking for enthusiastic graduates to join a primary‑age specialist provision as a Full‑Time Teaching Assistant. The role starts after the Easter break and supports children aged 4‑11 who may have additional learning needs, developmental delays, or SEMH challenges. It offers a valuable entry point for those interested in teaching, child development, or related professions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and group‑based support across core subjects and creative activities.
- Assist pupils in developing early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Support emotional regulation, behaviour management and the development of positive routines.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to tailor interventions to individual needs.
- Create a warm, nurturing and structured learning environment.
Required profile
- Recent graduate from any subject area with a genuine passion for supporting children.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and empathy skills.
- Patience, creativity and the ability to model positive learning behaviours.
- Proactive, flexible and hands‑on attitude with a willingness to learn.
