Full-Time SEMH Teacher – 1 Year Contract in Camden

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a well‑resourced SEN provision in Camden. The role is full‑time, covering Key Stages 1 to 3, and focuses on supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, behavioural challenges and additional learning requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to SEMH learners.
- Implement behaviour support and de‑escalation strategies.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, EHCP coordinators and external agencies.
- Support pupils in achieving their EHCP outcomes.
- Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
- Experience in SEMH, SEN or PRU settings.
- Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building abilities.
- Calm, resilient and consistent approach.
- Passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
- Based in Camden or the surrounding area.
Required skills
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice and restorative approaches.
- Understanding of EHCP processes.

- Salary on MPS/UPS scale, dependent on experience.
