About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist education setting in Birmingham. The role starts in September, is full‑time (Monday‑Friday) and offers a daily rate of £95. You will work alongside teachers to help learners with additional needs develop independence, confidence and communication skills.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 or small‑group basis to encourage engagement and learning.
- Assist teachers in delivering differentiated, meaningful lessons.
- Provide consistent emotional encouragement both inside and outside the classroom.
- Promote independence and positive communication among learners.
Required profile
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant (essential).
- Level 3 or Level 4 qualification (preferred).
- Current Child or Adult DBS, or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong references covering the last 24 months.
- Willingness to complete all compliance requirements promptly.
