Full-Time Teaching Assistant – SEND School

About the role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Wantage, Oxfordshire, starting September 2026. The role supports pupils aged 3‑19 with a range of special educational needs in a warm, therapeutic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils both in and out of the classroom.
- Deliver engaging and personalised learning activities.
- Promote independence, confidence and social development.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
- Assist pupils with communication, sensory and physical needs.
Required profile
- Compassionate, patient and resilient.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
- Previous experience in education, care, support work or youth work is desirable but not essential.
