Full-Time Year 2 Teacher – Kentish Town Border

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Year 2 teacher for a vibrant primary school located on the Camden/Islington border in Kentish Town, London. The position starts in September, runs from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, and is offered on a one‑year fixed‑term contract paid to Scale 1.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the Year 2 curriculum in line with national standards.
• Assess pupil progress and implement interventions to raise attainment.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and fellow teachers to support whole‑school improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice.
• Commitment to raising standards and ensuring every child reaches their potential.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); early‑career teachers are not eligible.
