Full‑Stack Software Developer – Capital Markets

About the role

As an experienced full‑stack software engineer specializing in both front‑end and back‑end development, you will take a hands‑on and leading role in the ongoing development of Marex’s Equity Market Making and Trading platform. You will contribute to modernising on‑prem and cloud‑hosted, secure, responsive desktop and web applications for front‑to‑back market‑making and trading technology.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code and test modern web application components and contribute to overall architecture.
• Develop high‑quality, maintainable solutions that meet acceptance criteria and adhere to best practices.
• Collaborate with platform engineering to automate build and deployment pipelines.
• Support greenfield initiatives, legacy re‑platforming to the cloud and an automation‑first delivery approach.
• Work closely with Capital Markets development managers and business technology to prioritise backlog and ensure agile delivery.

Required profile

• Strong experience with C#.NET, ASP.NET, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL and WPF.
• Proficiency with Linux tools, Node.js, AWS, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Bitbucket/Git and Jira.
• Solid understanding of API, REST, micro‑services, distributed systems and DevOps practices (CI/CD, BDD/TDD, DORA).
• Experience working in a regulated environment and familiarity with FCA compliance.
