Full‑time HGV Class 1 Driver – Days (Gloucester)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver for day‑time shifts in Gloucester. The position runs Monday to Friday, with start times between 07:00 and 10:00, and offers a temp‑to‑perm pathway for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full pallet deliveries using curtain‑sided vehicles.
• Operate tail lifts, pallet trucks and forklifts as required.
• Carry out minimal hand‑balling and occasional distance runs.
• Execute trailer swaps and ensure safe vehicle handling.

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Age 21 or over and no more than 9 penalty points.
• Professional, customer‑focused attitude and pride in vehicle cleanliness.
• Successful completion of company induction, theory assessment, vehicle checks, driving assessment and reversing test.
