About the role

Join the British Army as a full‑time Trainee Dental Nurse and support the oral health of soldiers worldwide. No prior qualifications are required – you will receive paid training, study for recognised dental nursing diplomas, and gain valuable experience in a unique military environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining soldiers' dental health through routine care and emergency support.
• Prepare dental equipment and ensure instruments are sterilised to the highest standards.
• Support dental practitioners during examinations and treatments.
• Progress towards a practice‑manager role by undertaking additional responsibilities.

Required profile

• Age between 17 years 9 months and 35 years 6 months.
• Pass a basic fitness test.
• Willingness to travel and undertake adventurous training.
• Commitment to study and achieve civilian‑recognised dental nursing qualifications.

Required skills

• Dental equipment preparation.
• Instrument sterilisation.
• Basic understanding of dental nursing procedures.
