Functional Skills Tutor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Functional Skills Tutor to deliver and coordinate Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English (up to Level 2). The role is centre‑based in Middle Wallop with occasional travel to other sites, offering you autonomy to plan, teach and support learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess English and Maths lessons for individuals and groups.
• Coordinate the successful completion of Functional Skills qualifications.
• Provide tailored support and advice to ensure each learner makes excellent progress.
• Travel to additional centres as required to meet learner needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering Functional Skills Maths & English at Level 2.
• Teaching qualification at Level 4 or above.
• Strong IT and communication abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management and a passion for people development.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.

What we offer

• Salary between £28,500 and £32,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Mileage reimbursement at 45p per mile.
