Fund Controller – FP&A Analyst in Private Equity

About the role

We are seeking a Fund Controller to join a leading UK‑based private equity investor focused on the aviation sector. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will own the quarterly and ad‑hoc analysis, modelling and reporting of key performance metrics for the investment fund and its physical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Produce investor reporting packages, including fund valuations, IRR, MOIC, DPI, asset valuations and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Manage financial planning and forecasting processes, supporting annual budgets, management fee projections and long‑term fund performance planning.
• Perform fund performance and scenario analysis to evaluate investment returns and strategic decisions.
• Develop and maintain financial models for investment transactions, asset disposals, financing structures and lease‑versus‑sale scenarios.
• Conduct variance and cash‑flow analysis to optimise fund liquidity and capital deployment.
• Support capital allocation activities and partner with corporate finance and investment teams.
• Monitor portfolio performance, fund equity positions and provide analysis on exit strategies and value‑creation initiatives.
• Prepare management reporting and performance dashboards for senior leadership, investors and board members.
• Coordinate with external auditors, fund administrators and tax advisors for audits and regulatory reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 3‑6 years of FP&A experience.
• Experience in financial services, asset finance or aviation‑related investment.
• Proven ability to produce detailed financial analysis and reporting for investment funds.
• Strong communication skills to work with commercial decision‑makers, C‑suite and investor relations teams.
