Fund Governance Manager – Senior & Executive Interim

About the role

We are an in‑house pensions team looking for an experienced Governance Manager to guide the fund through governance challenges and enhance existing frameworks. The role supports an award‑winning local government pension scheme serving around 86,000 members across 180 employer organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and risk oversight for the Wiltshire Pension Fund.
• Develop, document and embed governance frameworks and policies.
• Ensure the fund remains compliant with UK pensions legislation and regulatory codes.
• Engage with senior decision‑makers, stakeholders and external regulators.
• Collaborate with the wider pensions team to support change, innovation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of UK pensions legislation and regulatory codes.
• Proven experience in risk management and governance within a pension or financial setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to advise senior stakeholders clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary team.
