Funeral Service Crew

About the role
We are looking for compassionate individuals to join our Funeral Service Crew in Edinburgh. The role involves supporting families through the funeral process, handling the deceased with dignity, and ensuring smooth operation of funeral services. No prior funeral industry experience is required as full training is provided.
Key responsibilities
- Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Transport and bear coffins, and drive funeral vehicles as needed.
- Prepare coffins, engrave name plates, and ready the deceased for viewings and funerals.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, vehicles and facilities.
- Accurately update client management applications with timely information.
- Safely lift, carry and move coffins using handling aids and following health‑and‑safety guidance.
Required profile
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Physical ability to perform manual lifting and handling tasks safely.
- Calm and compassionate response in emotional situations.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to regulatory policies.
Required skills
- Basic IT proficiency with computers, tablets, smartphones, printers and scanners.
