Furniture Designer – Hospitality Interiors

About the role

We are seeking a talented Furniture Designer to join a leading London‑based interior architecture studio that creates immersive, luxury environments for hotels, resorts, restaurants and private residences. You will be responsible for designing bespoke furniture pieces from concept through to installation, ensuring they meet aesthetic, functional and budgetary requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop bespoke furniture designs across multiple hospitality projects, from brief to final site installation.
• Create detailed technical drawing packages, shop drawings, and prototype specifications.
• Review and red‑mark construction and shop drawings, coordinating with manufacturers and contractors.
• Conduct research, contribute to the studio’s in‑house furniture library, and support value‑engineering efforts.
• Collaborate closely with the wider design team to interpret briefs and maintain the studio’s design DNA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum two years of experience in furniture design, preferably within an interior design environment.
• Strong understanding of furniture construction, finishes, ergonomics, proportion and cost considerations.
• Highly creative, detail‑oriented, organized and able to work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Proficiency in Rhino (or equivalent 3D modelling software).
• Proficiency in SketchUp or other 3D modelling platforms.
