Furniture Designer – Technical Draftsperson

About the role

Our client, a respected maker of bespoke, handcrafted furniture and joinery, is looking for a detail‑focused Furniture & Joinery Draftsperson. Working from their Crawley office you will translate design concepts into precise technical drawings for high‑end residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings for bespoke joinery and furniture projects using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with the Workshop Manager and Project Manager to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements.
• Prepare clear drawing packages for client approval, production and installation.
• Maintain consistency, accuracy and attention to detail across all project documentation.
• Support the successful delivery of projects from concept through to manufacture.

Required profile

• Previous experience in high‑end joinery, bespoke furniture manufacturing or technical drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to produce accurate manufacturing drawings.
• Familiarity with SketchUp and ability to create 3D renders (helpful but not essential).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

• Salary of £33,000 – £37,000 per year, pro‑rated for part‑time.
