Furniture Maker with CAD Experience

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Furniture Maker who can blend traditional joinery craftsmanship with modern CAD‑driven design. The role is hands‑on, factory‑based in Leighton Buzzard and involves taking CAD and technical drawings through to finished, high‑quality furniture.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture bespoke and batch‑produced furniture to exacting standards.
• Read, interpret and amend technical drawings and CAD designs.
• Cut, machine, joint, assemble and finish furniture using woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Operate CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) to create or modify designs.
• Support prototype development and new product introductions.
• Collaborate with the wider team to identify practical manufacturing solutions and suggest process improvements.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and finish throughout production.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a factory‑based furniture or joinery environment.
• Strong cabinet‑making or bench‑joinery skills.
• Ability to work accurately and independently from technical drawings.
• Attention to detail and a focus on quality.

Required skills

• AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
