About the role

Doig Furniture is seeking an experienced Furniture Polisher to lead its polishing workshop in Thame, Oxfordshire. You will work on a diverse range of projects, from individual pieces to large fitted installations for high‑end residential clients.

Key responsibilities

• Run the polishing workshop and supervise a polishing assistant.
• Order materials, manage stock levels and control samples alongside the office team.
• Coordinate with the workshop and project managers on workload, priorities and timelines.
• Perform quality control on all finished works.

Required profile

• Proven experience in staining solid timber and factory spraying to a high standard.
• Ability to produce occasional high‑gloss finishes.
• Strong eye for detail and finish quality.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and passionate about craftsmanship.
