Futures E‑Trading Technology Project & Development Lead

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Applications Development Technology Lead to drive enhancements to Citi’s derivative trading platforms across North American and European exchanges. The role sits within the Front Office Technology Execution team and combines hands‑on development with technical leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement critical upgrades to futures trading systems supporting CME, ICE, Eurex, LME and other major venues.
• Collaborate with Futures Product teams, sales executives and internal technology groups to translate business requirements into robust solutions.
• Lead application systems analysis, code reviews and ensure alignment with the overall architecture blueprint.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in performance, resiliency and automation.
• Participate in the multi‑year Equities Technology transformation to deliver a best‑in‑class global platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior technical leadership roles within front‑office trading technology.
• Strong understanding of derivative trading workflows and market connectivity.
• Ability to solve high‑impact problems and evaluate complex business processes.
• Excellent communication skills to work with product, sales and engineering stakeholders.

Required skills

• Application development and systems analysis for trading platforms.
• Experience with futures market APIs and connectivity (CME, ICE, Eurex, LME, etc.).
• Knowledge of software architecture, performance optimisation and automated testing.
