Garage Support Technician (Electric Bus Maintenance)

About the role

Ember, the UK’s first all‑electric coach operator, is expanding its fleet and needs a reliable Garage Support Technician to keep its zero‑emission coaches running smoothly. Based in Dundee, you will work alongside a skilled team, supporting both immediate repairs and long‑term maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve immediate technical issues to keep coaches on the road.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with qualified mechanics, technicians and manufacturers to investigate root causes.
• Use remote diagnostics and Ember’s proprietary software systems for efficient troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a garage, workshop, transport or similar practical environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow direction from qualified mechanics and technicians.
• Good physical fitness for an active, hands‑on role.
• Responsible attitude towards health and safety in the workplace.
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems (training will be provided).
• Strong time‑keeping and reliability to meet bus schedules.
• Full UK driving licence.
