Gardener (Driver optional) – Preston Parks

About the role
We are seeking a passionate Gardener to help maintain Preston’s beautiful parks, including Avenham Park and Moor Park. You will work outdoors across seasonal schedules, ensuring green spaces are welcoming and well‑kept. A full driving licence is beneficial but not essential.
Key responsibilities
- Mowing, strimming, pruning and planting across park areas
- Keeping pathways, borders and park zones tidy
- Litter picking and general grounds maintenance
- Collaborating with a small, friendly team to maintain high standards
Required profile
- Enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in the quality of work
- Willingness to contribute to the local community
- Full driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory
Required skills
What we offer
- £13.47 per hour
- 36.25 hours/week out of season (7:30‑15:15) and 42 hours/week in season (7:30‑16:30)
- Temporary ongoing contract (Fixed‑term)
- Monday‑Friday schedule, onsite work in Preston
