Gardener – Grounds Maintenance on Council Estates

About the role
We are looking for a reliable Gardener to carry out grounds maintenance on council estates in Southwark. The role involves caring for grass areas and shrub beds, ensuring the outdoor environment remains tidy and safe.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain grass areas and shrub beds across council estates.
- Operate and maintain grounds machinery such as strimmers, hedge cutters, blowers and mowers.
- Ensure all work complies with local authority standards and health & safety regulations.
Required profile
- Proven experience working as a gardener.
- Experience in grounds maintenance on council or similar estates.
- Previous work within a local authority environment.
- Valid driving licence (essential).
Required skills
- Operation of a strimmer.
- Operation of hedge cutters.
- Operation of leaf blowers.
- Operation of lawn mowers.
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate ranging from £15.88 to £20.60.
