Gardener – Grounds Maintenance (Southampton)

About the role

We are seeking a Gardener to join our team in Southampton, working on a temporary ongoing basis. The role involves a variety of grounds‑maintenance tasks to keep communal beds and lawns in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities

• Weeding, dead‑heading, hoeing, planting, pruning, cutting and watering communal beds.
• Cutting and maintaining lawns and grass areas to different finishes using pedestrian‑operated, tractor‑driven and ride‑on mowers, strimmers and brush cutters.
• Applying fertiliser and pesticide in line with company and manufacturer guidelines.
• Operating a range of tools, machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Available to work Tuesday‑Saturday, 06:00 am – 15:30 pm.
• Willing to undertake a temporary ongoing contract in Southampton.
• Commitment to safe recruitment practices and equal‑opportunity standards.

Required skills

• Mower operation (pedestrian, tractor‑driven and ride‑on).
• Strimmer operation.
• Brush cutter operation.
• Fertiliser application.
• Pesticide application.

What we offer

• £13.68 per hour (PAYE).
• Temporary ongoing contract.
• Work schedule Tuesday‑Saturday, 06:00 am – 15:30 pm.
